Happy Thanksgiving

Hello! If the computer ELVES worked properly, I am the first to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!  Now I know that some of you are dreading today.  I am here to tell you that you have one, if not many choices today.

I support you no matter what choices you make – no matter what!  I want to encourage you to make the choices that are BEST FOR YOU!!  You have the choice today to put a smile on your face and let no one take it away.  It does not matter if the house erupts in fighting, Uncle Jim is drunk, the turkey is dry and the bread is burned. You CAN CHOOSE to still smile. Smile at the “predictability” of it all.  Smile because you know that right now you are making plans in your head to stay away from and have other plans for the next holiday.  Smile, because it will keep everyone wondering “what is going on with you”.

I encourage you to stay on your food plan.  No, it won’t be easy, but you always dreamed of the family accepting your wishes. YOU CONTROL WHAT GOES INTO YOU!! I promise, that mom will “get over” her hurt feelings.  You can always smile and say “No thank you” thirty two times.  You can always use the “You say you want what is best for me and sugar is definitely not the best for me.”  If you choose to stay on your food plan, I CAN PROMISE you that you will not drive home craving this or that.  I CAN PROMISE you that you will wake up tomorrow feeling proud of yourself and cheery, not beating yourself up.  If you stay on your food plan, it will set the foundation to encourage yourself that Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza or New year’s WILL be easier.  You did it before, you can do it again!

I am VERY proud of you no matter what happens today.  If you try your best to do whatever is BEST FOR YOU, then you have every reason to be proud of you too!  I am available starting Monday December 2, 2019 to talk to you for 10 minutes, or schedule an appointment, or to sign you up for my NEW program starting in January to get everything flowing in the right direction again.

Blessings to you,
