You made it through Thanksgiving! No matter if you stayed on your food plan, or ate everything that was not nailed to the floor, YOU MADE IT!  Now, let’s look ahead.  We can not change yesterday and the only time in the future that we have control over is this moment.  SO, let’s start!  In this moment, let’s choose to stop beating ourselves up.  No matter what it is we are beating ourselves up for – STOP!  Pat yourself on the back for making it through the holiday.  Pat yourself on the back twice if you maintained your food plan.  Pat yourself again if you are not in jail and or charges are not pending against you (😊 lol).

I have put together a Holiday Survival Guide to help you get through the rest of the holiday season.  It includes loads of tips and tricks that I have gathered over the past 30 years of my practice, and also includes many holiday recipes.  If you are interested, please go to

Starting January 14, 2020, I am rolling out a new program called “Sane Food Solution.”  This is starting in January because that is a good place to start.  We have all made it through the holidays, have had time to get things organized, and the kids are back in school.  You can now focus on YOU!  It is going to go for 10 weeks, so by the time everyone is no longer working on their “New Year’s Resolutions” you can still proudly say that you are!

The 3rd of February we are starting a very special program called 21 Days Out Of Relapse.  You will have daily contact with me and your group – a morning email prayer or meditation, a noontime fun email, and 30 minutes with me and your group in the evening.

On the 17th of March, I am going to do a six-week course on Boundaries.  This is so that when those spring/summer holidays roll around you can politely tell your family that they do not have to right to tell you what is best for you or your family, OR you can practice “Nutrition Aikido” and maintain your boundaries.

These are just the beginning of my plans for 2020!  I have a ton in the works; and hopefully all my plans will come to fruition! Stay tuned!  These courses will fill up quickly!  So, if you want to make sure that you start 2020 off right call the office and register!  As always, I am available for a quick 10-minute question, or a full 1 hour session in person, over the phone or computer.  I am here to help you and support you on your journey.

Blessings to you!

Here’s another tip for staying abstinent over Thanksgiving: come down with a nasty upper respiratory virus, cancel all your plans, stay in bed with a box of Kleenex and sip medicinal herbal teas all day. Yep, NOT a fun Thanksgiving, but looking on the bright side, no culinary temptations and I got to cuddle my cat and catch up on “The Crown!”

Thanks for your kind words, Theresa. I was invited to an elegant restaurant for Thanksgiving which was a new experience for holiday dining. I ate the turkey platter with stuffing, Rolland butter, salad and vegetables. Took half the turkey home and will get 2 more weighed meals from it. I thanked my hostess and declined to go to the house for dessert since I don’t want to drive after dark. I am invited to a Christmas tea there and will bring your squash and apple crisp which fits my food plan that my wonderful dietitian made for me. I hope you have many things for which to be thankful.
