As I work with my clients, I often feel sad that they are unable to do some of the things that they want to do in their lives. The food gets in the way and we spend many years trying to solve the food problem. We say to ourselves, “As soon as I lose this weight, I will be able to… And it hurts me to see people lose whole hunks of their lives struggling with the food, rather than becoming the incredible persons they could become. A man I deeply respect wrote the following and kindly gave me permission to share it with you. Please write back and tell me what you think of this.
I was thinking about my email to you from the other day about the power of choice. I know that I suggested that that there are three keys to an inspired life…. There is a fourth I think… your why
What is your mission? What are you called to do? What are you driven to do? What lights you up? What brings you joy?
That – that thing that you lose yourself in – that’s what you’re meant to do… that’s what leads to a truly inspired life…
So… what’s your purpose, your why?
Take some time to connect with it again.
Your why is your juice, your rocket fuel. It’s what gets you up in the morning; it’s what propels you to bust through the resistance; it what drives you to overcome the inevitable obstacles.” …
Your purpose matters to a life that’s deep and rich and satisfying.
Leadership guru Simon Sink said, “Start With Why.”
Start with yours.
That’s where your true power is.
So, I have to ask again; where is your true goal for your life? Is it really in the bag of chocolate chip cookies??
Please tell me your thoughts.
Blessings to you,
Thank you so much, Walt Hampton, for letting me share this:
